The very first episode of Girls pretty much set the stage for the many, many awkward love scenes that would follow. We’re introduced to Hannah, an aimless twentysomething wandering around New York City without a purpose.
She calls up an old flame, Adam, and just lies to him that she happened to be in his neighborhood. We’d say things then get hot and heavy, but they really really don’t. First Hannah has some technical difficulties with disrobing, then she can’t seem to stop talking. This prompts Adam to say, “Let’s play the quiet game.” Yowza.
