Veep, the biting political satire starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus as the vice president and, eventually, president of the United States, isn’t exactly known for its steamy love scenes. Nevertheless, in the season five episode named Congressional Ball, Selina Meyer is about to dance the horizontal mambo with her running mate Tom James, played brilliantly by Hugh Laurie.
The fact that the two don’t even seem to like each other definitely contributes to the awkwardness of the whole thing, but what truly seals the deal is Selina’s personal aide Gary walking in on them, and proceeding to have a full-body convulsion.
