In an unfortunate reveal, New Girl’s Jess found out some disturbing news about the guy she had been dating. Jess discovered in the sitcom that Robby was actually her cousin and that when they were much younger, they used to play together. We found out that they weren’t first cousins, but they still were distantly related.
It made everyone cringe as they had seemingly been perfect for each other, but this bombshell was just too much to overcome. The whole storyline made viewers uncomfortable, and it served as a reminder to make sure you check out your potential partner’s family ties. It’s a small world after all, and you really don’t want to end up dating someone you’re related to.
