Sure enough, the life raft contained three people, and all three were still alive! The marooned men poked their heads out of the raft, in utter disbelief that a ship had actually come to save them.
They had been floating in the water for hours, with very little supplies, and had almost lost all hope of anyone having seen their flare – to say nothing of being rescued. Instead of ocean waters, waves of relief now washed over them, as they could see an end to their ordeal.
