Now that the crew knew what the situation truly was, they were even more convinced they couldn’t just leave the men stranded as they waited for the coast guard for possibly hours. The Pacific Princess wanted to mount its own rescue mission, but there was one problem; cruise ships aren’t exactly designed with rescue missions in mind. The logistics of it would be tough to figure out.
