In 2010, you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People. When the cat was let out of the bag about the hidden meaning, the song was actually censored by MTV.

Foster the People had hidden some seemingly dark messages in their hit song. The song is about a school tragedy, but rather than condoning violence, the band wanted to send a message to parents. They wanted parents to know that should talk to their children about the major catastrophe, rather than ignore it.
