Blessing was best known as MacGillicudy but was equally as well known for playing Jack Powers in the sitcom George Lopez from 2002 to 2007. After his role as Powers in the sitcom, he made several guest appearances working as a voice actor. He appeared in the animated family adventures Shrek the Third and Megamind. He was reunited with Cybill Shepherd when he featured in her sitcom Cybill. Sadly, Blessing passed away in 2017 after suffering from pancreatic cancer.
