[post_page_title]Shepherd really was a model[/post_page_title]
Before she even stepped foot in a movie studio, Cybill Shepherd had featured on many runways and photography studios as a world-famous model. She started as a young girl, where she won the Miss Teenage Memphis pageant, and by 1966 she had been named model of the year while she was residing in New York. Although regarded as a natural beauty, Shepherd insisted that she was shot using a filming technique known as “softening.” The cameraman would add disks to their lens which would reduce the definition of the picture.
