The star decided enough was enough and she needed to track down her son. It’s reported that Mercedes hired a private investigator to track him down, and she was soon in luck. Although Christopher was now 21 years old, he was ready to become part of the family.
Mercedes went on to adopt a young son named Jake in 1995, but that wasn’t all. She wanted none other than Christopher to become Jake’s Godfather as a sign of unity after all those years apart.
