[post_page_title]Jim Morrison (age 27)[/post_page_title]
Jim Morrison was the iconic vocalist of the rock band The Doors, best known for their song Riders on the Storm. He became a member of the 27 club in 1971, two years to the day after Rolling Stones founding member Brian Jones, and roughly nine months after Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin, who died about two weeks apart.
His cause of death is disputed between heart failure in his apartment’s bathtub and passing away after taking illegal substances in the bathroom stall of a nightclub. No autopsy was performed.
