While Christopher George Latore Wallace – better known as The Notorious B.I.G., Biggie Smalls, or just Biggie – was known to have a few enemies, his assassin remains unknown to this day.
Wallace was in L.A. at the time, which was particularly dangerous because he was from New York and a major part of the East Coast-West Coast hip hop feud (along with the already deceased Tupac Shakur, who was a central figure in West Coast rap). Biggie was shot in a drive-by attack after leaving a party – same style as Tupac.
