Selena was a prominent figure in the fashion and music industry and was making quite a name for herself in the ’90s. The young artist was, however, too trusting of certain people, Yolanda Saldívar, to be exact.
Although multiple people told her Saldívar was up to no good, she refused to give up on their relationship. After an argument, Saldívar fatally wounded the beloved singer and was later arrested after a 9-hour standoff. Doctors say that if the bullet was one millimeter higher or lower, Selena probably would have survived.
