While all these stories are tragic, that of Cory Monteith was particularly shocking. While the actor had been struggling with substance abuse since the age of twelve, it’s safe to say his death surprised people and fans around the world.
The Glee star had previously sought treatment at the urging of his co-stars and crew. Months later, Monteith was found deceased in his hotel bed in 2013. This was a tough loss, especially for his girlfriend Lea Michele. Glee aired a tear-jerking episode in memory of their beloved Cory.
