[post_page_title]Changing throughout the years[/post_page_title]
That’s not all. It seems as though bridal bouquets once featured herbs and spices compared to the flowers that we know and love today. It all started in Ancient Greece as the Greeks believed the scents had magical powers and would ward off evil spirits. Believe it or not, but the bride didn’t always wear a white dress. The gowns were traditionally red until Queen Victoria wanted to wear a white lace dress in 1840 to show off her wealth.
As if that wasn’t enough, the best man was once there to make sure that the bride didn’t run away. That’s right; best men may even have to kidnap the bride or keep families away if anyone disagreed with the marriage. The reason they are called best men? They were considered to be the best in the area with a sword.
