Nadia was joined by five others all looking to make it out of the country as they began walking towards the border. The conditions were deadly as the freezing cold weather proved to be just one obstacle the group would have to overcome. When they finally reached the border, it’s rumored the police from Hungary recognized Nadia immediately, but let her go through as they were shocked by her story. Panait met Nadia further along the order where they continued to travel to the American embassy where they were given a flight straight to New York City.
