Everyone within the gymnastics community came together to offer help to Nadia after what had been such a traumatic time. Alexandru was quick to offer his friend a place to stay, but tragically he was killed in a snorkeling accident not long after Nadia had moved in. This meant she was, once again, on the hunt for somewhere to stay. Paul Ziert came to the rescue, offering Nadia a bed at his home in Norman, Oklahoma.
