While many people were shocked to learn about Caitlyn’s gender identity and transition, some say that Kris really shouldn’t have been so surprised. Supposedly, Kris was largely in denial about her husband’s gender identity. Caitlyn insists that Kris knew something was happening, and that back in the ‘80s, Kris had caught the then Bruce cross dressing and taking female hormones. But Kris seems to have blocked out the experience, or perhaps she never put much stock in to it at the time.
