The teenager couldn’t help but feel as though Shantel was making fun of her and her interview. While she knew that she wasn’t the most experienced candidate in the world, she also knew that she put up a good fight. Therefore, she thought that being called “basic” was a kick in the teeth. Megan was also shocked that Shantel had used an emoji in the rejection. This was made even worse by the fact that it was a laughing emoji with tears coming out of its eyes. Once again, it seemed deeply unprofessional.
