These robbers must have seen too many movies, as their robbery of the Graff Diamonds store in London in August, 2009, was something out of Hollywood.
They had a professional makeup artist change their appearance using wigs, actual makeup to mask their skin tone and latex prosthetics. These costumes took four hours to create, and the makeup artist thought they were for a music production. They weren’t – they were for robbing $65 million worth of jewels. The Hollywood robbers had all been caught eventually, but none of the items were recovered.
