[post_page_title]The Zurich masterpiece art heist – $139 million[/post_page_title]
Have you ever wanted a painting by a world famous artist to hang in your living room? These three robbers certainly did, as they forced themselves into Zurich’s E.G. Bührle Art Museum in February, 2008.
The Swiss museum lost only four paintings that day, but they were valued at almost $139 million. How? They were painted by Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, and one Vincent Van Gogh. The paintings were never recovered, so keep an eye out at your local flea market. Never know what you might find.
