[post_page_title]Mission truly impossible – $292 million[/post_page_title]
This one’s straight out of a Mission Impossible movie. Hackers prepared a network of offshore accounts, and intercepted many other actual accounts and their passwords.
Using this stolen information, they hacked into the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC)’s systems and sent out payment order to every corner on the globe. Had they succeeded ,their haul would have been $292 million, the single largest take in British history. Luckily, they didn’t. After bypassing countless security measures, the robbery was foiled due to incorrectly filled out electronic forms. Tom Cruise wouldn’t approve.
