[post_page_title]The largest cash heist in British history – $68 million[/post_page_title]
When robbers stepped into a Securitas Cash Management depot in Kent, England in February, 2006, they walked away with £53,116,760 ($68,185,000) in cash bills.
It was the biggest cash robbery in the United Kingdom’s history. How did they do it? Simple, kidnapped and threatened the manager’s family before, while also tying up the depot’s 14 staff members. It was quite a brilliant plan, and it worked to perfection, but authorities weren’t about to let it slide. The robbers were all eventually caught – and convicted.
