The Diamond District in Antwerp, Belgium, is the largest in the world, with a turnover of $54 billion dollars, making it a prime target. In February, 2003, it was finally hit, but it wasn’t easy.

The plan to rob the city’s Diamond Center had actually been three years in the making. When it was all said and done, however, the thieves got away with $100 million in diamonds, evading countless security measures such as magnetic fields and infrared sensors. No one knows how they did it to this day.
