The role of Elle’s mother is played by the American singer and actress, Tané McClure, who acted in both the first and second of the ‘Legally Blonde’ films. By the time she had acted in the movies, her career had already begun to slow down.
McClure was, for the most part of her life, focused on her career in the music industry, identifying herself with her idol, Grace Slick. Her second single, ‘Holdin-Up,’ peaked on Billboard charts at number 37. She contributed three songs towards ‘The Terminator’ soundtrack, and starred in a number of low-budget provocative films.
