The scorned ex-friend of Regina George, Ian later orchestrated the elaborate take-down of the high school queen. The lovely Lizzy Caplan had got her acting start in the cult classic teen comedy show, Freaks and Geeks, co-starring Jason Segel and James Franco. Before her notable role in Mean Girls, Caplan had made appearances in Smallville and Tru Calling.
