Diana wasted no time handling her mothering responsibilities, with the Princess apparently playing a considerable part in naming her kids. This is something that the father typically deals with in the Royal Family. However, the Princess wasn’t willing to leave something like this in the hands of Charles.
So, she came up with the names for William and Harry herself. Supposedly, her husband wanted the boys to be called Arthur and Albert, but Diana obviously didn’t agree. Otherwise, we’d be calling the princes by two very different names.
