Unfortunately for Diana, no matter how often she tried to put the boys first, she couldn’t neglect her royal responsibilities completely. Sometimes, she had to leave the nanny in charge of the kids while she went off with Charles for one job or another.
Of course, even when she did this, the Princess still put her sons first. She kept an excellent record of what they were up to, so she always felt like she was with them. She was clearly far more invested in their lives than her own.
