Of course, there were definitely a few times where Diana must have made the Queen roll her eyes a bit. For example, during the Princess’ 1985 visit to Melbourne, Australia, when the fashion icon accented her teal gown with an emerald and diamond tiara.
The thing is, it wasn’t exactly a tiara, but a necklace the Queen had given her as a wedding gift. We aren’t sure Her Majesty was so thrilled to see the trendy way in which the valuable piece was being worn.
