Another way the Princess bent the rules when it came to fashion was by wearing pants. Although she was frequently seen wearing more casual attire while out and about, the only royals permitted to wear pants to official events were men. However, Diana loved a good power suit, and wore them often.
The Princess would even occasionally show up in one to formal royal gatherings whether the Queen and the Family liked it or not.
