Having Harry and William go to public school was a massive deal for the Royal Family because it had never happened before. Once again, Diana had defied tradition for the sake of her own wishes. Of course, this time, the Princess wasn’t trying to put her needs first.
Instead, she was looking out for her children. She felt that giving them a more normal upbringing would help them become well-rounded individuals somewhere down the line. Surely that wasn’t a bad thing given one of them would become king one day.
