It’s pretty much essential that once you become a celebrity, you have to spend most of your money on building a property portfolio. It’s normal for stars to own several homes at once, with their collection continually changing over the years.
That’s certainly been the case with Carey, who’s had the keys to quite a few places over the years. One of these is a duplex penthouse and the apartment below it, which she collectively paid $9 million for. It was a worthwhile purchase after her first marriage fell apart.
