Luckily for the family, the internet is always there to save the day. Alicia’s sister and her husband set up a GoFundMe page to try and raise some money for Eva, and people responded in their droves. In the space of a month, the duo exceeded their target goal of $10,000, easily hitting $11,500 as Eva’s story tugged on the heartstrings of many strangers. One person was so moved by Alicia and Dan’s situation that they donated $3,000 to their cause, and the couple was eternally grateful.
