The couple didn’t waste a second creating happy moments for their daughter. Whenever she wasn’t needed for treatment, and when her symptoms weren’t acting up, Alicia and Dan did something with Eva to put a smile on her face. They took her for special days out to places like the zoo, taking special care not to expose her to the sun too much. Although she couldn’t see much of what was going on, she got a lot of joy from being able to stroke some of the animals.
