It’s a widely known Keanu gave up a big chunk of his Matrix salary, to help out the special effects team. The exact number is not known, as Keanu himself never brags about his giving nature. Some say it was $35 million, others claim it was closer to $125 million.
Either way, Keanu was clearly willing to lose millions just so the struggling special effects team could ensure the film would look as amazing as possible. And that’s not even the only time Keanu has taken one for the team.
