Keanu seems to have a very strong sense of what is right and wrong, and cares deeply about injustice. So much so that he is willing to make sacrifices so all actors on his movie projects get paid what they deserve.
It is a known fact salaries on movie sets vary greatly, with usually just one or a few main stars getting paid in the multimillions whereas others get whatever’s left. Thanks to Keanu giving up some of his salary Al Pacino and Gene Hackman, just to name a couple, could be hired in some of his movies.
