Unfortunately, it looked as though Demi was going to be battling her personal struggles for the rest of her life. The singer had been sober for six years, but in 2018 things took a turn for the worse.
Demi released a powerful song that told the tale of how she had relapsed back to her old habits. Tragically, later in the year, Demi was rushed to hospital after taking illegal substances. As if that wasn’t enough, it later transpired the substance also contained fentanyl. Doctors warned the star was minutes away from losing her life.
