While it often seems as though Frank and Mike’s clients love their work, that isn’t always the case. A few years into the show’s run, a client by the name of Jerry Bruce decided to take one of the pickers to court over a piece of farm equipment the pickers had supposedly bought for him.
Jerry noted that he had never received the equipment from Frank, and ultimately decided to take him to court. Despite the fact that Frank hadn’t cashed in Jerry’s check, the judge decided that the picker was in the wrong.
