While the authenticity of the show is often called up for debate, there’s no doubt about the fact that Mike and Danielle’s friendship is totally real. In fact, they first met when they were both picking in an antique shop.
When Danielle was inspecting a lamp she believed she could later sell for a profit, she set it down and Mike snatched it up within seconds. He noted that Danielle should have just bought it then and there without thinking about it, and they soon bonded over their love of collectibles.
