You’d think that having your album peak at two on the Billboard 200 would be an excellent achievement for any artist. Unfortunately, it seems Taylor Hicks’ record label wasn’t thrilled about the performance of the season five winner’s debut.
Back then, his collection was the worst-selling effort of any ‘American Idol’ champion, so they decided to drop him. Fortunately, Hicks didn’t let that get him down. He continued to persevere with his music, and he now has a net worth around $2 million. Clearly, he’s having the last laugh.
