David Cook definitely didn’t have any reason to be upset after becoming the victor of ‘American Idol’ season seven. His debut album was an instant success, peaking at three in the US charts and selling more than 1.5 million copies.
What’s more, the collection broke several records, including most digital sales for a debut artist in one week. Although – as with many other contestants – his later work hasn’t been as successful, he’s still amassed a very impressive net worth. It’s believed that he’s earned as much as $5 million.
