The beloved nighttime comedy variety show Saturday Night Live has been known for pushing the envelope when it comes to their sketches, and the writers are often willing to try some more controversial jokes every now and then. However, when it comes to a guest host going off the script and doing or saying something offensive, that is where creator Lorne Michaels draws the line.
This is exactly what happened when Hollywood’s actor next door Adrien Brody shocked the audience with a joke that was deemed by most as less than appropriate while hosting the show in 2012. When he took to the stage to introduce rapper Sean Paul, he sported a wig of fake dreadlocks and attempted a fake Jamaican accent. This apparently was all it took for Michaels to ban the actor from his show for good.
