When most people think of the British heartthrob Hugh Grant, they think of him as charming, polite, and respectful – at least those are typically the type of characters he plays on screen. However, back in 2009, Jon Stewart found the movie star to be just the opposite. According to the host, when Grant was a guest on The Daily Show, the famously well-mannered actor was actually unfriendly and rude to almost everyone on set and apparently was using foul language and complaining the entire time.
This surprising behavior ended up resulting in a ban from Stewart’s show altogether. Grant later responded to the ban with a tweet that read, “Turns out my inner crab got the better of me with TV producer in 09. Unforgivable. J Stewart correct to give me kicking.”
