You may have recalled the drama back in 2010 following the infamous NBC Tonight Show debacle in which the network bumped Conan O’Brien’s spot as the new late-night host to a later slot, airing former Tonight Show frontman Jay Leno’s The Jay Leno Show right before.
Although O’Brien ended up leaving the network for TBS to host Conan, there was still some uncomfortable tension left between the two famous talk show personalities. Shortly after the fiasco occurred, O’Brien admitted in an interview that he would likely never have his ‘rival’ appear as a guest on his show, although he did jokingly add that he might consider him as a musical guest.
