This is a rare ban on this list, as the hammer was brought down not out of hate but out of love. For the brief period Conan O’Brien hosted The Tonight Show, he had his close friend Artie Lange appear.
Lange, an infamously hard partier with a well-documented history of substance abuse issues, was not in top form to say the least. He slurred his words, and spoke in rambling, incoherent sentences. In response, and worried about his friend, Conan banned him from making any further appearances until he cleaned up his act.
