David Letterman and Oprah Winfrey were two showbiz juggernauts, each hosting a wildly successful chat show. And yet, for 25 years, the two maintained a bitter feud that saw Oprah flat-out refusing to appear on Letterman’s show, while he took potshots at her.
It all apparently stemmed from a silly prank in Paris where Letterman duped Oprah into paying for his dinner. Talk about holding a grudge! Thankfully, the two have since buried the hatchet, and have appeared on each other’s shows – and one memorable Super Bowl ad also starring Jay Leno.
