[post_page_title]Sinead O’Connor[/post_page_title]
Since first rising to fame in the ’80s, singer-songwriter Sinead O’Connor has always been controversial and open about her political beliefs. However, one stunt she pulled while performing on SNL went a little too far, resulting in her being permanently unwelcome to ever return to the show.
While she was singing a cover of Bob Marley’s War, the singer took out a picture of Pope John Paul II while reciting the word “evil” and then continued to rip it in half and say “fight the real enemy” while leaving the studio in complete silence.
