It’s hard to think of Leighton Meester being anyone but the snarky and fashionable Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, but she did in fact have a small role on Veronica Mars during the show’s first season. And ironically she plays a girl known to be the gossip queen of Neptune High.
Carrie is not exactly a friend of Veronica’s, as she has a fairly rude and snarky attitude (like a toned down and less wealthy version of Blair) but Veronica ends up realizing Carrie, despite her attitude, is someone who stands up for her friends when it really matters. Carrie accuses a teacher of being involved with a student and despite being doubted by everyone, even Veronica, proves she was telling the truth – albeit with a twist.
