Our favorite flirty Schmidt from New Girl was once the good cop Deputy Leo D’Amato on Veronica Mars. Max Greenfield got pretty lucky and ended up having a recurring guest role as Leo, appearing in episodes throughout all three existing seasons. Leo is a very likable character who briefly even dates Veronica, before she breaks his heart.
As any true Mars fan knows, Veronica’s heart is always with Logan Echolls so most other men don’t stand a chance – Leo included. But at least the two are good friends, and he often gives Veronica valuable information that he probably shouldn’t share outside of the police department. But hey, who can resist Veronica’s charm and persistence?
