Even though Shadow was stressed out about the fact that her one-year-old daughter was trapped in the car, she was still able to see the humor in the situation.
Since there were policemen and other willing helpers all around, she knew that her baby was going to be okay. And the worst case scenario just involved a broken window. So she was able to laugh at the fact that a group of inmates were trying to break into her car, under the watchful eye of the cops.
