This is exactly what the inmates are hopeful for now that the world has seen their good deed. They’re aware that they’ve done bad things in the past and they don’t expect people to forget that.
However, as the deputies watching over them said, they’re genuinely interested in doing the right thing and earning an honest living. They’ve served their time and want to get back on the straight and narrow, no matter how long it takes. If this video is anything to go by, they’ve definitely earned a do-over.
